The Jackson Beer Board – Johnny Dodd, Russ McKelvey and Gary Pickens – approved four requests for permits – three special occasion and one business – during their monthly meeting at the City Council Chambers, Tuesday.
Robert Ingram was approved for a special occasion permit for an event known as Hub City Fight Night, 301 MCO Road, to sell, store and serve beer for consumption on the premises where sold, March 7.
Peggy Moss, on behalf of an organization known as the Christian Girls Home of Moron, Haiti, was granted a special occasion permit to sell, store and serve beer at a fundraising event that will be held at St. Mary’s Holy Family Hall, 1665 Highway 45 Bypass, March 14.
Summer Nichols was approved for a special occasion permit – W.R.A.P. Denim and Pearls – to sell, store and serve beer during an event at the Carl Perkins Civic Center, March 28.
The Eighth Annual event, which is the largest annual fundraiser for W.R.A.P., will have a silent auction and dance.
Peter Thomas, owner of Hub City Deli, 2062 Pleasant Plains Ext., was approved for a business permit to sell, store and distribute beer for consumption off the premises.
