JACKSON, Tenn. – There have been new developments in the story of Brandon Banks. The man accused in the Vanderbilt rape case was suited up Wednesday afternoon and on the Lane College football field.

Is the Vanderbilt rape suspect part of Lane football team

After first learning that Banks would not be part of the Lane football squad Lane Dragons head coach Derrick Burroughs confirms Brandon Banks will try out for the team.

This comes just one day after Chief of Staff Darlette Samuels confirmed that that coach Burroughs said Banks was not on the team’s roster.

Banks is one of four former Vanderbilt players awaiting trial on aggravated rape and aggravated sexual battery charges.
