HUMBOLDT, Tenn, (October 30, 2014) — According to a press release, Humboldt Police Department responded to a call about a man pointing a gun a people and threatening to do harm to himself.
Upon arrival, at the apartment on E. Main Street, officers heard what they believed to be a gunshot from inside the man’s apartment.
The man authorities identified as 31-year-old Roy Thomas Kitzmiller of Humboldt. was inside the residence and according to police, Kitzmiller barricaded himself inside the apartment.
After a two hour standoff officers were able to make entry took Roy Thomas Kitzmiller into custody.
Authorities say no one was injured in this incident.
Roy Thomas Kitzmiller has been charged with Unlawful Possession of a Weapon after a conviction for Domestic Violence, Reckless Endangerment, Aggravated Assault & Resisting Arrest.
He has been transferred to the Gibson County Criminal Complex and his bond has been set at $50,000.00.
