The Jackson-Madison County Regional Health Department confirms a 72-year-old female died Nov. 25 due to complications from COVID-19. This brings the total number of COVID-19 related deaths to 125 in Madison County.

The health department received positive test results for 172 more cases of COVID-19. We now have 7,284 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Madison County – 5,740 have recovered.

The newest confirmed cases range from ages 2 months to 87.

Epidemiology staff are reaching out to these individuals and people who had close contact with these cases.

Twenty-nine Madison County residents are currently hospitalized. Five of those patients are on a ventilator.
