The Jackson-Madison County Regional Health Department confirms an 87-year-old male died Sept. 12 due to complications from COVID-19. This brings the total number of COVID-19 related deaths to 69 in Madison County – 2,910 recovered.
The health department received positive test results for 38 more cases of COVID-19. We now have 3,195 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Madison County.
The newest confirmed cases include 15 males, 23 females, and range from ages 1 to 87.
Our Epidemiology staff is reaching out to these individuals and people who had close contact with these cases.
Five Madison County residents are currently hospitalized. None of those patients are on a ventilator.
