The Jackson-Madison County Regional Health Department confirms an 85-year-old male died Nov. 8 due to complications from COVID-19. This brings the total number of COVID-19 deaths to 89 in Madison County.

The health department received positive test results for 151 more cases of COVID-19. We now have 4,669 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Madison County – 3,921 recovered.

The newest confirmed cases range from ages 2 to 97.

Our Epidemiology staff is reaching out to these individuals and people who had close contact with these cases.

Twenty-two Madison County residents are currently hospitalized. Five of those patients are on a ventilator.
