The Jackson-Madison County Regional Health Department confirms a 79-year-old male died Aug. 25 due to complications from COVID-19. We now have 38 COVID-19 related deaths in Madison County.
The health department received positive test results for 50 more cases of COVID-19. We now have 2,111 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Madison County – 1,703 recovered.
The newest confirmed cases include 18 males, 32 females, and range from ages 2 to 93.
Our Epidemiology staff is reaching out to these individuals and people who had close contact with these cases.
