The Jackson-Madison County Regional Health Department confirms three additional COVID-19 related deaths. This brings the total number of COVID-19 related deaths to 243 in Madison County. The newest deaths include:
- 76-year-old male (died 8/6/21)
- 77-year-old male (died 8/7/21)
- 79-year-old female (died 8/7/21)
The health department has received positive test results for 266 more cases of COVID-19 since Aug. 6, 2021. We now have 12,593 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Madison County – 11,492 have recovered.
Our Epidemiology staff is reaching out to these individuals and people who had close contact with these cases.
