The Jackson-Madison County Regional Health Department confirms three additional COVID-19 related deaths. This brings the total number of COVID-19 related deaths to 65 in Madison County.
The most recent deaths include:
- 83-year-old female (died 9/3/2020)
- 99-year-old female (died 9/12/2020)
- 75-year-old male (died 9/24/2020)
The health department received positive test results for 24 more cases of COVID-19. Eight of these new cases are from the same residential facility. We now have 2,988 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Madison County – 2,605 recovered.
The newest confirmed cases include 12 males, 12 females, and range from ages 8 to 79.
Our Epidemiology staff is reaching out to these individuals and people who had close contact with these cases.
Eight Madison County residents are currently hospitalized. None of those patients are on a ventilator.
