The Jackson-Madison County Regional Health Department confirms three additional COVID-19 deaths.
A 65-year-old female died Aug. 12, a 42-year-old female died Aug. 12, and a 65-year-old male died July 22 due to complications from COVID-19.
We now have a total of 28 COVID-19 deaths in Madison County.
The health department received positive test results for 70 more cases of COVID-19. We now have 1,629 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Madison County – 1,227 recovered.
The newest confirmed cases include 34 males, 36 females, and range from ages 2 to 90.
Our Epidemiology staff is reaching out to these individuals and people who had close contact with these cases.
Fifteen Madison County residents are currently hospitalized. One of those patients is on a ventilator.
