The Jackson-Madison County Regional Health Department received positive test results for eight more confirmed cases of COVID-19. We now have 217 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Madison County.
The newest cases include:
- 82-year-old male (hospitalized)
- 51-year-old female (not hospitalized)
- 29-year-old male (not hospitalized)
- 25-year-old male (not hospitalized)
- 29-year-old female (not hospitalized)
- 21-year-old male (not hospitalized)
- 64-year-old female (not hospitalized)
- 19-year-old female (not hospitalized)
Our Epidemiology staff is still trying to contact several of these individuals. The staff is also reaching out to people who had close contact with these cases.
Three Madison County residents are currently hospitalized. One of those patients is on a ventilator.
One hundred ninety-eight Madison County residents have recovered from COVID-19 and three people say they are feeling better.
