The Jackson-Madison County Regional Health Department confirms two additional COVID-19 related deaths. This brings the total number of COVID-19 related deaths to 131 in Madison County.
The newest deaths include:
- 89-year-old male (died 12/20/2020)
- 64-year-old male (died 12/20/2020)
The health department received positive test results for 67 more cases of COVID-19. We now have 7,782 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Madison County – 5,993 have recovered.
The newest confirmed cases range from ages 2 to 82.
Epidemiology staff are reaching out to these individuals and people who had close contact with these cases.
Twenty Madison County residents are currently hospitalized. Six of those patients are on a ventilator.
