From the Jackson-Madison County Regional Health Department –
The Jackson-Madison County Regional Health Department received positive test results for one more confirmed case of COVID-19. We now have 177 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Madison County.
The most recent case is a 48-year-old female, who is not hospitalized. Our Epidemiology staff is reaching out to people who had close contact with this individual.
The Madison County case count is lower today due to a reporting error with two lab results. We reported two 13-year-old males, who were household contacts, as positive on Monday. They were actually negative.
Two Madison County residents are currently hospitalized with COVID-19, and one of those patients is on a ventilator.
One hundred sixty-two Madison County residents have recovered from COVID-19 and eight people say they are feeling better.
