The Jackson-Madison County Regional Health Department confirms a 65-year-old female died April 2 due to complications from COVID-19. This brings the total number of COVID-19 related deaths to 231 in Madison County.
The health department received positive test results for four more cases of COVID-19. We now have 11,122 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Madison County – 10,818 have recovered.
The newest confirmed cases range from ages 33 to 77.
Epidemiology staff are reaching out to these individuals and people who had close contact with these cases.
Five Madison County residents are currently hospitalized. One of those patients is on a ventilator.
