The Jackson-Madison County Regional Health Department confirms a 72-year-old female died Nov. 27 due to complications from COVID-19. This brings the total number of COVID-19 related deaths to 107 in Madison County – 4,957 have recovered.
The health department received positive test results for 140 more cases of COVID-19. We now have 5,940 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Madison County.
The newest confirmed cases range from ages 1 to 91.
Epidemiology staff are reaching out to these individuals and people who had close contact with these cases.
Twenty Madison County residents are currently hospitalized. Five of those patients are on a ventilator.
