The Jackson-Madison County Regional Health Department confirms a 67-year-old female died Oct. 28 due to complications from COVID-19. This brings the total number of COVID-19 related deaths to 78 in Madison County.

The health department received positive test results for 34 more cases of COVID-19. We now have 3,975 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Madison County – 3,526 recovered.

The newest confirmed cases range from ages 8 to 77.

Our Epidemiology staff is reaching out to these individuals and people who had close contact with these cases.

Twenty Madison County residents are currently hospitalized. Three of those patients are on a ventilator.
