The Jackson-Madison County Regional Health Department confirms a 64-year-old male died March 5 due to complications from COVID-19. This brings the total number of COVID-19 related deaths to 197 in Madison County – 10,412 have recovered.
The health department received positive test results for seven more cases of COVID-19. We now have 10,963 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Madison County.
The newest confirmed cases range from ages 23 to 84.
Our Epidemiology staff is reaching out to these individuals and people who had close contact with these cases.
Four Madison County residents are currently hospitalized. Two of those patients are on ventilators.
