The Jackson-Madison County Regional Health Department confirms five additional COVID-19 related deaths, bringing the total to 268 in Madison County. The newest deaths include:
- 41-year-old male (died 9/1/2021)
- 54-year-old female (died 9/2/2021)
- 76-year-old male (died 9/3/2021)
- 50-year-old male (died 9/5/2021)
- 50-year-old female (died 9/6/2021)
The health department received positive test results for 276 more cases of COVID-19. We now have 16,422 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Madison County – 13,952 have recovered.
Our Epidemiology staff is reaching out to these individuals and people who had close contact with these cases.
