The Jackson-Madison County Regional Health Department confirms a 58-year-old female died Sept. 11, 2021 due to complications from COVID-19. This brings the total number of COVID-19 related deaths to 269 in Madison County.
The health department has received positive test results for 386 more cases of COVID-19 since Friday, Sept. 10, 2021. We now have 16,808 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Madison County – 14,485 have recovered.
Citizens will notice a decrease in the number of new cases reported because the Tennessee Department of Health’s electronic lab reporting portal shut down Sunday for maintenance.
