Haywood High football program adds defensive coordinator

Less than one week after naming Chris Smith as its new head football, Haywood High School adds its first assistant coach – and the Tomcats didn’t have to look very far.

According to Joey Hassell, superintendent of Haywood County Schools in a press release, Logan Rebstock, who assisted Smith at Germantown High School, has been named Haywood’s new defensive coordinator.

Haywood County Schools and Haywood High School are excited to announce the addition of Logan Rebstock to the Tomcat football coaching staff. After working four seasons at Germantown (High School), Coach Logan Rebstock is excited about joining the staff at Haywood High School as defensive coordinator and strength coach. In 2017 & 2018, Germantown’s defense were amongst the top in Shelby County and helped contribute to back-to-back region titles and undefeated regular seasons for the Red Devils in 6A Region 8.

Coach Rebstock will assist Coach (Chris) Smith in growing our student-athletes on and off the field.
