(October 2, 2013) Jackson, Tenn.- The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation arrested a Haywood County woman yesterday for fraudulently obtaining a Tennessee drivers license.
Crystal Elaine Williams of Brownsville, aged 30, was indicted on one count of criminal simulation and one count of forgery.
The 28th Judicial District Attorney General requested TBI investigate allegations of a Tennessee Highway Patrol citation receipt being duplicated.
The Haywood County Clerk’s Office found the duplicated receipt in August of this year.
Investigations revealed that Williams made a fraudulent receipt on a computer and sent it in as proof of payment for a citation and fraudulently obtained a drivers license. Her license had been suspended for not paying her fines.
Williams was booked into Haywood County Jail and bond was set at $10,000.
