Havner’s Frame Shoppe is moving to 105 North Church Street, in downtown Jackson.
An opening date has not been announced, but renovations continue on the building that is the former home of the Rockabilly Hall of Fame.
Havner’s, located at 1019 Campbell Street, has been in business since 1977.
The announcement was made on Havner’s Facebook Page –
We have been so excited to share the details with you about our big move, and now that everything is officially official, we want to (re)introduce you to our new home – 105 North Church Street!
Many of you know this building as the former Rockabilly Hall of Fame Museum, and, before that, Central Fire Station (among other things in between).
This building has witnessed so much of Jackson’s story and it is not lost on us what a privilege it is to preserve history in this historic building.
Charlie and I have long dreamed of having a space that could accommodate workshops and classes, but we have been working towards the goal of having a gallery space that could display and highlight the incredible talent and creativity of local artists.
And that’s exactly what this new space will provide.
Mostly, our dream for this space is that, through art, community will be built and strengthened in this space. Our community is diverse and beautiful and we want this space to reflect that. Art has the power to bring people together and hem them in because, as Trista has articulated, art is for everyone because art belongs to no one.
