On Friday, 19 September 2014 the Traffic Division of the Jackson Police Department will be joining with Kmart to conduct a Child Safety Seat Inspection Station.

According to Lt Ron Adams with the Jackson Police Department, studies say the majority of child safety seats are either  installed or adjusted incorrectly, which means that the children are not properly protected in a crash.

Adams says, Traffic Officers that are Certified Child Passenger Safety Technicians will be on hand to help drivers insure that their child’s safety seats are properly installed thereby providing the child riders with the absolute maximum protection available.

The free event will be held in the parking lot of Kmart located at 732 Old Hickory Blvd. It will begin at 3:00 PM and run until 6:00 PM.
