Jackson, TN – The Greater Jackson Chamber is excited to announce the participants selected for its 2024 Leadership Jackson class.
According to a press release from Lindsay Dawkins – Chief of Staff – Great Jackson Chamber -this 13-week program is designed to identify, motivate, and develop emerging leaders from diverse sectors of the community.
The program aims to empower these leaders by enhancing their personal potential and exposing them to the opportunities and challenges that shape Jackson.
The class will participate in a full-day information session in early September to get acquainted and find out more about what their Leadership Jackson experience will entail. Leadership Jackson, class of 2024, will be led by Chair Kris Kelley, Chief Operations Officer at JACOA, and Vice-Chair, Mike Bryant, Community President, Centennial Bank.
“Leadership Jackson is an outstanding program that guides participants through personal and professional growth and creates deep awareness of the strengths and challenges of our community and region,” said Kelley. “We have been working to develop a top-tier program for them, and I’m honored to be a part of their journey.”
Throughout the program, participants will meet weekly for sessions on various topics, with a leadership skill-building component incorporated into each. Leaders from key sectors such as health care, criminal justice, economic development, quality of life, education and government will provide an overview of the current state, challenges and future vision for Jackson-Madison County.
This comprehensive approach offers participants a broad understanding of how the community functions and encourages them to reflect on how they can make a positive impact, either within their companies or in their broader sphere of influence.
“Leadership Jackson provides individuals with the unique opportunity to improve and grow through community outreach, self-reflection and leadership skills,” said Bryant. “At the root of Leadership Jackson is the opportunity to build relationships with others while challenging one’s personal preconceptions and assumptions about our community.
“The potential of the new class to impact Jackson and the surrounding areas for the better fills me with excitement, and I look forward to working with the LJ class of 2024.”
