Gov. Bill Haslam was in West Tennessee Tuesday to present several
grants.
In Madison County Haslam visited Pacific Manufacturing.
Haslam presented two Tennessee Department of Economic and Community
Development and Department of Environment and Conservation grants.
The Madison County Sheriff’s Office received a grant to purchase a driving
simulator for student education.
The Govenor also had something for new business. Jackson is one of six
Main Street Communities to receive a $50,000 grant to encourage local
entrepreneurship.
The Governor said this money will fund the repurpose of three shipping
containers into new storefronts, and make affordable space available to
entrepreneurs graduating from the CO to start new businesses.
