Golf – Ingalls enters match play for Albert A. Stone Jr. Cup as No. 1 seed

Sixteen golfers are in the hunt for the Albert A. Stone Jr. Cup, when play resumes at the Jackson Country Club, at 7:20 a.m., Saturday.

The finals will be held Sunday, and the tournament champion is recognized as the best amateur golfer in Jackson-Madison County.

Aaron Ingalls enters match play as the tournament’s medalist after shooting a 70 at Jackson National Golf Club, Sunday.

In the Senior Stone Cup, Leroy Murphy is looking for a third straight title.

Andy Rushing completed stroke play as medalist, and joins Chris Simmons and Murphy when play begins Saturday.

Claire Henson and Katy Jo Reilly will compete for the Beverly Pearce Cup.
