A pair of two-run home runs and six-hit pitching led the Jackson Generals to a 4-2 win over the Chattanooga Lookouts at the Ballpark at Jackson, Wednesday.
Playing at home for the first time this season, the Generals, the defending Southern League Champions found themselves trailing 2-0 going into the bottom of the fourth, but quickly tied things up after Jazz Chisholm delivered a 2-run home run that scored Daulton Varsho, who singled to lead off the inning.

One inning later, lightning struck twice.

“We have a really nice mix of young guys (and) some veteran guys … a really good blend,” said Blake Lalli, manager of the Generals, “Talent … speed, a lot of toys to play with.
“The chemistry they create themselves – it’s letting them play. They are good players … keep (our) hands off and let them go.”
Bo Takahashi struck out seven in five complete innings, and picked up his first win of the season.
He allowed both Chattanooga (Cincinnati Reds affiliate) runs – solo home runs from first baseman Ibandel Isabel and catcher Tyler Stephenson.
Bo Takahashi started for the Generals and allow two runs on four hits in five complete innings.
“(Bo) Takahashi had a really good start,” Lalli said, “He stayed aggressive, and I’m really happy with our staff.”
