Sometimes you have to wonder if the glass is half-empty or half full.
The Jackson Generals have won seven of their last 10 games, but the three losses have come in their last four games.
The most recent loss was an 8-3 setback at the hands of the Montgomery Biscuits, at the Ballpark of Jackson, Sunday.
Jackson trailed 8-0 going into the bottom of the ninth, and scored their first runs since the bottom of the eighth inning Saturday, to avoid a shutout.
Victor Reyes (2-4) led Jackson in hitting, and teammate Kevin Medrano had one of the six base hits – an RBI double.
He carries a .322 batting average – second best in the Southern League – into Monday’s 6:05 p.m., game at the Ballpark at Jackson.
Joel Payamps allowed one run in five complete innings, and lower his earned run average to 6.26, but lost for the fourth time this season compared to three wins.
Ivan Pineyro (7-0, 2.81 ERA) looks for his eighth win when he faces Montgomery’s Hunter Adkins (0-0, 1.00 ERA), in the final game of the five-game series.
