Brad Keller pitched six shutout innings and Dawel Lugo went two-for-three and with two RBIs for the Jackson Generals in a 5-0 win over the Mississippi Braves at Trustmark Park, Sunday.
The win was the third straight for the Generals.
A Lugo single in the top of the fourth scored Jamie Westbrook and Kevin Cron giving the Generals a 4-0 lead.
Keller (6-6, 4.69 ERA) limited the Braves to four hits while striking out five for the Generals, who won their third straight game.
The Generals’ series continues at 7 p.m., Monday when Jackson’s Alex Young (4-5, 4.97 ERA) faces Wes Parsons (0-1, 3.50 ERA).
