Working overtime didn’t pay off for the Jackson Generals at The Ballpark at Jackson, Monday.
The Generals (24-19) fell 3-2 in 12 innings to visiting Tennessee (22-22) in the final game of a five-game series with the Smokies.
Jackson scored its only runs of the game in the sixth inning when Pavin Smith, who led off with a walk, scored on a double by Andy Young.
The Generals took their only lead of the game at 2-1, when a Ramon Hernandez single scored Young.
Matt Brill (0-1) worked the final two innings for the Generals, and took the loss.
The Generals have an off-day Tuesday, before heading for Montgomery and opening a five-game series with the Biscuits.
