(February 5, 2015) — Four men made their first court in city court charged with robbing a man at the Old Hickory Inn on Tuesday during a drug transaction..
Quienton Woods, Robert Spencer, Montavis Pirtle and Martin Mitchell, were arraigned Thursday in Jackson City Court on charges of aggravated robbery. Woods also is charged with simple possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
According to court records, on Tuesday, shortly after 8 p.m., Jackson police were called to an incident at 1869 U.S. 45 Bypass. The victim, Richard Bichle, told police he had made arrangements to buy drugs from a man he met in the parking lot, according to court documents.
The victim said a short time later four men came to his room at the Old Hickory Inn. During the transaction, Bichle was hit in the head with a beer bottle and robbed of his wallet and about $360.
The four suspects were later stopped in the area.
