The Jackson Police Department, Jackson Fire Department and an ambulance from Jackson-Madison County General Hospital have a portion of South Shannon Street closed.
Police would not comment on the activity, which is centered on a crane, behind the Ed Jones Federal Building and United States Courthouse, 109 South Highland Avenue.
