First Friday Art Walk resumes in downtown Jackson

The Jackson Arts Council will host the First Friday Art Walk on June 2 in downtown Jackson, throughout the newly designated arts district. This event will help the public to engage with the arts, local artists to sell their work, and increase walkability and economic activity in downtown Jackson.

Local artists can be found in the following businesses:

  • The Lift
  • Garner Blue
  • The Carnegie
  • Grounded Plant Co.
  • The Ned
  • Havners Frame Shop
  • Sacred Adornments
  • Third Eye Curiosities
  • Grubb’s Grocery

Participating artists are:

“The arts create a thriving sense of culture,” said Erin Eller, Jackson Arts Council interim director. “It brings people together, and that is exactly what Jackson needs. A community that is supportive of the arts is what we are trying to create.”

The First Friday Art Walk will be held from 3-6 p.m. on the first Friday of every month through November and is free to the public.
