The Jazz Foundation of West Tennessee presents: Requiem for a Drum Major: A Celebration to Dr Martin Luther King Jr., January 17th, 7pm at the Ned in Jackson. The concert features the Henry Conerway III Quartet and the Dave Potter Quartet. Conerway III has become a leading presence on the modern jazz scene since moving to New York in 2015, as evidenced by his on going work with Freddy Cole, Marcus Printup and Jazzmeia Horn. Potter was a Julliard scholarship recipient and has played with such notables as Jason Marsalis, Greg Tardy, Eric Reed and Marcus Roberts.
