(July 25, 2013) Jackson, Tenn.- The Jackson Energy Authority approved multiple equipment purchases at their board meeting on Thursday.
They approved the purchase of a compact excavator for the gas division, a skid steer track loader for the electric division, and two tractor backhoe loaders for the water division.
The gas division proposed a base rate increase as gas prices continue to decline. This will translate to lower rates for customers.
The board also approved the hiring of consultants to evaluate the bio-solids alternative and discuss a master plan.
