Empowerment Community Church, located at 455 East Main Street, will host their annual ‘Back to School’ Bash and Giveaway on Friday, August 4th from 4-6 P.M.
The church will give away up to 100 backpacks filled with paper, glue, pencils, folders and more. They will also have uniform tops available for students.
All supplies are available to the public on a first come, first serve basis.
Additionally, the church is offering a weekly tutoring and education enrichment program that parents can enroll their children in at no cost.
The Jackson-Madison County School System will start the school year on August 7.
