The daily number of early voters fell slightly from Monday’s total as 2,133 voters cast ballots on Tuesday in Madison County.
There are 12,688 ballots that have been cast in this election which is a record thus far.
The previous record for the same time period was four years ago in 2016 when 11,440 people had voted by this point.
Twenty percent of Madison County’s registered voters have now voted.
Early voting continues through October 29. Early voting hours are from 9 a.m.. – 4 p.m. on weekdays, and 9 a.m. to noon, Saturday.
On the last two days of early voting, October 28 and 29, the voting hours will be from 9 a.m. until 6 p.m.
The early voting location is at 311 North Parkway in Jackson. You must present a photo ID issued by the State of Tennessee or the U.S. government.
