The number of ballots cast totaled 785 in Early Voting on Day 1, to select Scott Conger or Jerry Woods as the next Mayor of Jackson.
The total grows to 897 – counting the 112 people who voted absentee, those who voted in nursing homes and assisted living facilities – are factored in.
A runoff was needed following the May 7 Election.
Conger and Woods received the majority of the votes, but neither had the necessary 50 percent, plus-one to win the race outright.
Voters registered in the City of Jackson can cast early ballots weekdays from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., and 9 a.m. to Noon, Saturdays, through Thursday, June 13.
Election Day is June 18.
In order to vote, a photo ID issued by the State of Tennessee or the U.S. Government must be presented.
