The Madison County Election Commission saw a record first day in early voting for a Governor’s election, when 1,372 voters cast ballots in the State General Election.
Added to the 129 voters who voted in licensed nursing homes and assisted living facilities and the 144 absentee ballots received prior to today, a total number of 1,645 have now voted.
Early voting for the Madison County general election continues through Nov. 1.
Registered voters can vote at the Madison County Agriculture Auditorium, 311 North Parkway, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday, and 9 a.m. to Noon, Saturdays.
Voters are required to present a photo identification – issued by the State of Tennessee or the United States government.
Voters who need to change their address or review the ballot prior to voting are encouraged to visit the election commission’s website at www.madisonelections.com.
