Early Voting Record Numbers, Voting Continues

JACKSON Tenn (April 23, 2015) – 416 voters cast ballots on Wednesday

A total of 3795 people have now voted in this election. This exceeds 3,085 which is the number of voters who voted in the ENTIRE election four years ago in 2011. We have now also exceeded 3,785 which is the number of early voters in the 2007 City of Jackson. A total of 7,941 voters participated in the 2007 election.

Early voting continues through April 30th. Voting hours are from 9:00 am until 4:00 pm on weekdays and from 9:00 am until 12:00 noon on Saturday, April 25th. at the Madison County Agricultural Auditorium located at 311 North Parkway in Jackson.

Only registered voters who live within the city limits of Jackson are eligible to vote in this election.

Tuesday, April 28th, will be the last day that the Election Commission can mail an absentee ballot. Any voter who is over 60, disabled or will be out of the county during early voting and on Election Day may vote absentee by mail. There is some paperwork involved that may take time, so voters who need to take advantage of this means of voting are encouraged to contact the election commission immediately.
