On Day 2 of early voting, 138 ballots were cast in the Madison County’s local Republican and Democratic primary, Thursday, compared to 106, Wednesday.
The breakdown had 96 of the voters participating in the Republican primary and 42 voters participating in the Democratic primary.
A total of 370 ballots have now been cast in this primary election – 228 of those ballots were in the Republican primary and 142 were in the Democratic primary.
Early voting will continue through Thursday, April 26. Voting hours are 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., on weekdays and 9 a.m. to noon, Saturdays.
In order to vote, a voter must show a photo ID issued by the State of Tennessee or the United States government.
The early voting location is at 311 North Parkway in Jackson at the Madison County Agriculture Complex Auditorium.
