There is no shortage of enthusiasm for Early Voting.
Following an unprecedented turnout for a first day of Early Voting, 275 people cast ballots in the first hour of Early Voting at the Madison County Agriculture Complex, Thursday.
There were 1,815 ballots cast, Wednesday.
Madison County saw an unprecedented turnout for a first day of early voting.
Combining the votes cast at nursing homes and assisted living facilities along with the absentee ballots already cast, a total of 3,274 people have voted.
Early voting will continue through October 29. Early voting hours are from 9 a.m.. – 4 p.m. on weekdays, and 9 a.m. to noon on the two Saturdays during the period.
On the last two days of early voting, October 28 and 29, the voting hours will be from 9 a.m. until 6 p.m.
The early voting location is at 311 North Parkway in Jackson. You must present a photo ID issued by the State of Tennessee or the U.S. government.
