The first day of early voting had 106 voters cast ballots for the Madison County Republican and Democratic Primary, May 1.
The breakdown had 68 voters voting in the Republican Primary and 38 voters voted in the Democratic Primary.
When these numbers are added to the votes already previously cast in absentee and nursing home voting, the total is 232 – 132 votes were cast in the Republican Primary and 100 votes were cast in the Democratic Primary.
Early voting will continue through Thursday, April 26. Voting hours are 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., on weekdays and 9 a.m. to noon, Saturdays.
In order to vote, a voter must show a photo ID issued by the State of Tennessee or the United States government.
The early voting location is at 311 North Parkway in Jackson at the Madison County Agriculture Complex Auditorium.
