JACKSON, Tenn. – An early morning residential fire leaves a family homeless.
According to reports, around 4:00 a.m. Jackson firefighters to a call at residence in the 100-block of Williams Street. Firefighters say the blaze started in the kitchen
Five people were in the house, two adults and 3 children, all escaped without injury.
According to firefighters, the house had smoke and fire damage. The fire doesn’t appear to be suspicious, but the cause remains under investigation.
Authorities don’t know if the home had working smoke detectors. The Red Cross will assist the family with resources and temporary housing.
