Dwana Pusser, the daughter of legendary Sheriff Buford Pusser in McNairy County, has passed away.
Born in Chicago in 1961, Dwana Pusser was involved in civic affairs in Adamsville.
She established the Buford Pusser Home and Museum, a law enforcement museum in Adamsville, dedicated to her late father who was the subject of “Walking Tall” movies, while maintaining a website on Facebook – Sheriff Buford Pusser Remembered.
Buford Pusser lost his life in an automobile accident, August 21, 1974.
