Jackson TN – Jody Pickens, District Attorney General Jody Pickens, joined local law enforcement leaders to announce 61 arrests made during ‘Operation TriStar Hammer,’ a joint effort to keep illegal drugs off local streets and protect families living in West Tennessee.
The arrests were announced during a press conference at the Lowell Thomas State Office Building in Jackson, Monday.
Three individuals who were encountered during this operation were found to have active warrants.
One individual was charged with new drug offenses. Additionally, four federal indictments were also served.
The operation began with a series of indictments handed down by three grand juries on March 30, 2026.
“Agencies conducted numerous control purchases, served numerous search warrants, conducted surveillance and research, during this two-year long operation,” Jody Pickens – 26th Judicial District – said. “On March 30, Grand Juries met in Chester, Henderson and Madison counties. This counter drug operation resulted in 75 people being indicted. The total from respective Grand Juries returned 141 separate indictments against these individuals.”
The subsequent arrests were carried out in the days that followed in a coordinated effort by the Chester County Sheriff’s Department, Henderson County Sheriff’s Department, Madison County Sheriff’s Department, Decatur County Sheriff’s Department, McNairy County Sheriff’s Department, Jackson Police Department, Lexington Police Department, Henderson Police Department, Scotts Hill Police Department, Huntingdon Police Department, Medina Police Department, Tennessee Highway Patrol and agents with the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, Department of Homeland Security, the Drug Enforcement Agency, 25th Judicial District Drug Task Force, and 26th Judicial District Drug Task Force.
“To the law-abiding citizens, law enforcement recognizes the scourge that is drug dealing, particularly methamphetamine and fentanyl, and we are working in a collaborative fashion, across jurisdictional lines to combat it,” Pickens said, during the joint press conference. “Drug dealers do not recognize county lines and neither will we in pursuit of holding them accountable. This is the end of the beginning, not the end. This operation will continue and you can expect to see other action in the coming weeks and months.
“If you are a person involved in the sale and delivery of controlled substances, change your ways. Stop destroying families, stop destroying lives, and stop destroying your community.
“Remember, you have to be lucky every day. Law enforcement only has to be lucky once. The amount of time in prison you face is not worth it to you, or those who love you.”
