JACKSON, TENNESSEE— Jackson Downtown Development Corporation (JDDC) Board President Bobby Arnold and the JDDC Board of Directors are pleased to announce the appointment of Matt Altobell as the new Executive Director. He assumed his new role on November 3rd, and succeeds Katie Pace, who resigned from the position in August.
Mr. Altobell brings to the role over 10 years of organizational management and leadership experience. His particular brand of creative energy is well suited to exploring the opportunities and meeting the needs of downtown Jackson. Matt is a 2012 graduate of Leadership Jackson, and has served in various volunteer roles for several local nonprofit organizations. He was previously employed for 8 years at Party Mart Liquors & Wine in Marketing, and he also has served as percussion instructor for the Gibson County High School Marching Pioneers for the last 5 years.
A native of Columbia, Tennessee, Mr. Altobell came to Jackson in the fall of 2003 to attend Lambuth University, where he majored in Communications. Since attending Lambuth, Mr. Altobell has made Jackson his home. Says Matt, “I am thrilled to be working with JDDC. This is a very unique and exciting time for Downtown Jackson, and the opportunity to serve in this capacity at this time is a tremendous honor.”
