Four people have been found dead in Northwest Tennessee on Monday night, and Dyer County investigators say they believe this discovery is connected to the abandoned infant case from earlier in the day.
The Dyer County Sheriff’s Office is actively working alongside the neighboring agency in Lake County, where the bodies were discovered.
The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI) and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) have been requested to respond to assist with this incident.
“This is a deeply saddening day for our community,” said Dyer Co. Sheriff Jeff Box. “We are committed to uncovering the truth and ensuring justice is served.”
Around 3 p.m. Tuesday, Dyer Co. deputies were called to a home in the area of Old Highway in Tigrett, where a seven-month-old girl in a car seat was abandoned in a stranger’s yard.
Dyer County Sheriff’s Office is searching for the person who abandoned an infant in a stranger’s yard.
The witness called 911, and the child was taken to the hospital to be checked out.
The sheriff’s office said earlier in the day that they are seeking Cortney Rose, Matthew Wilson, and Adrianna Williams, who may be involved with the child being left.
It’s unknown if any of these three were among the victims found in Lake County. DCSO says the identities of the four deceased are currently being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
