MADISON COUNTY, Tenn (September 29, 2015) – Developing Story – The Madison County Sheriff’s Department is mourning the loss of one of their own.
Sheriff’s Department Deputy Rosemary Vela died in a single car accident early Tuesday morning. The accident occurred sometime around 12:30 a.m.
Law Enforcement began looking for Deputy Vela after she was not responding over the radio. Searchers were able to ping her location proximity and began search and rescue in that area.
The accident happened along Highway 70 West, in the Huntersville area
Deputy Rosemary Vela had been with the Madison County Sheriff’s department for less than a year.
Rosemary Vela leaves behind a son.
