JACKSON, Tennessee – An airline believed to deliver mile high reliable service from McKellar-Sipes Regional Airport to Atlanta with options to access comprehensive route networks beginning December 1, was introduced to Jackson-Madison County, Friday.

The Department of Transportation selected Denver Air Connection as the new Essential Air Service provider for McKellar-Sipes Regional Airport.

“We couldn’t be more thrilled to be in Jackson,” said Jon Coleman, Senior Vice President of Corporate Strategy for Denver Air Connection. “There is a feeling of change … growth in the air, here at McKellar-Sipes Regional Airport. It’s a measured growth for us … we only bid on things if we can do them. If we sell you a ticket, the plane has got to go.”

Denver Air Connection is based in Englewood, which is a suburb of Denver at Centennial Airport, with all opertions flying out of Denver International.

With a fleet comprising of a 30-seat Dornier Jet and 50-seat Embraer EMB-145 Jet, Denver Air Connection promises comfortable and efficient travel for passengers. The flights will offer full-size, high-end snacks and beverages, ensuring a pleasant journey for all travelers.

Starting December 1, 2024, passengers from Jackson will have seamless access to Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, a major hub for both domestic and international flights.

Denver Air Connection is committed to providing ample flight options, offering 12 non-stop round-trip flights per week.

Not only does Denver Air Connection prioritize comfort and convenience, but it also boasts exceptional reliability. With a 98.5% completion rate on flights and impressive on-time performance, passengers can trust that their travel plans will proceed smoothly. Denver Air Connection ensures that maintenance issues never leave passengers stranded, with a dedicated fleet ready to address any unforeseen circumstances.

“We worked on this for a litte over a year-and-a-half, and it’s huge, a great opportunity for the city of Jackson, and more than that, for the West Tennessee region,” said Kyle Barron,  This opens the skies for us to go from Jackson to Atlanta – and from there Atlanta to the world … it really opens the skies for everybody.”

Barron, who serves as the Chief Community Development Officer at the Greater Jackson Chamber of Commerce, said besides Atlanta, the airline is looking to add Chicago for public flight and Detroit for business and industry.

“The timing could not have been any better,” Barron said. “It’s one thing to have a torn up runway, it’s another thing to have $31 million in renovations going on at (McKellar-Sipes Regional Airport) and as soon as renovations are complete you get to have a jet (flying) out of it.”

The airline’s dedication to safety and maintenance excellence is further solidified by its certification as a Part 145 Repair Station by the FAA. This certification underscores Denver Air Connection’s commitment to maintaining the highest standards of safety and reliability.

Denver Air Connection, operated by Key Lime Air Corporation, has a rich history dating back to its founding in 1996. Specializing in empowering emerging communities with global travel and economic access, Key Lime Air Corporation will operate under Title14 CFR part 121.
